long bows shoot the farthest but are slower firing.
short/flat bows shoot the shortest but fire faster. the others are in between. |

bring bows into the Isle of the Nameless and far back theres a bow ranger area which tells you which bow can hit which target and so on.

to sum it up:
longbow: slowest refire rate, longest range, medium arrow arch flatbow: fastest refire rate, longest range, highest arrow arch shortbow: fastest refire rate, shortest range, low arrow arch basically, longbow is good for hitting targets that are fire away with good accuracy, flatbow is best for hitting over obstacles, and shortbow is good for interrupters |

Depends on what your task in battle is and whether you are under the effect of Read The Wind or Favorable Winds.

Flatbow is the best utility bow in my opinion. It can do anything
Fastest refire rate Largest Radius Flight time is the longest(Can be fixed with favorable winds and Read the wind) |

Yes favorable winds and read the wind are both skills.
Both are very simple to get, very early on in the game. Read the Wind does +X amount of damage as you put points into Marksmanship, BUT it's a prep, and won't work with barrage later on (IF you use it) Favorable Winds is a Nature Ritual, and is casted, it spawns on the field of battle, and gives all creatures +6 ranged damage. Both skills also cause arrows to fly 2X faster. I recently made a build using RtW, Fw, and Conjure Fire... But I'm thinking of changing to R/MO And using Judges insight, penetrating attack/barrage. With a curse necro to throw Weaken armour on people If I'm not wrong, that should be -0- Armour lvl. |

Ranger ele = more than likely the best damage output,
R/mo = Some okay things like Judges insight, some heals for you and party, better res Ranger/me = Some good curses/degen with conjure phantasm/poison, and the ever obvious Interrupter ranger Ranger/w = some good calls, better armour due to shouts, and some good dodges with adrenalines, Bonettis works after 1-2 barrages Ranger/n= curses/good health stealing spells... etc... Up ta you really |
